DAYCARE SERVICES
Rawdon Elementary (RES) Daycare Services are available to all students registered at our school.
The Daycare educators are Nancy Wheeler and Cindy Plaisance

REGISTRATION & WITHDRAWAL
Requests to register a child are made by completing the Registration Form.
Pedagogical Day registrations will be done for each pedagogical day by signing the form posted on the Daycare door.
Parents who wish to withdraw their child from Daycare must notify the Daycare Educator with a written notice.
Students who persistently defy the Daycare rules, and put other students' safety at risk may be asked to leave Daycare.

HOURS / DAYCARE SCHEDULE
PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR ANY CHANGES TO A STUDENT'S DAILY DAYCARE SCHEDULE, THE SCHOOL MUST BE ADVISED BY 11:00AM .
BLOCK A - MORNING (07:00-07:50AM):
Students will report to daycare at 7:00am, at approx 7:40 they will go outside with the daycare educator until the bell.
BLOCK B - LUNCH (11:30-12:20)
Lunch is supervised by the daycare educator in the daycare room where microwave services are available. We are a nut-free school and food containing nuts will be returned unopened.
BLOCK C - AFTER SCHOOL (2:50-6:00)
A Breath of Fresh Air: 2:50 - 3:30
Students will play outdoors or in the gym (if inclement weather).
Snack Period: 3:35 - 3:45
Students will be invited to enjoy healthy snacks.
Homework Time: 3:50 - 4:50
Homework support is offered by the Daycare Educator in an atmosphere conducive to successful learning.
Cooperative Play Time: 4:55 - 6:00
A variety of organized activities are offered to the children. These activities may take place in the Daycare room, the gym, the computer lab, or in the lunch room.
PAYMENT
Regular Daycare users will be billed monthly. The cost is $8.95 per day. Sporadic users will be charged $10.00 per day.
The full amount will be billed to parents/guardians responsible for the student. The invoice must be acquitted in full monthly with one cheque per student. Online payment is available, please contact the school for more information.
Cheques are accepted - payable to
SIR WILFRID LAURIER SCHOOL BOARD.
Failure to acquit payment in full monthly will result in the termination of Daycare services. Whenever a cheque is returned, there is an additional N.S.F. charge set at $20.00.
Billing for Pedagogical days will be included on the monthly invoice. The cost is $15.30 per day (7:00 am-6:00 pm) plus costs incurred for activities. There is no sick day refund for students registered on pedagogical days.
Lateness in picking up your child will result in an additional fee of $.55 per minute block after 6:00 pm.
Billing for late pickups will be included on the monthly invoice.
PICK UP PROCEDURE
Go to the side entrance near the entrance to the parking lot. You can enter through the first door and you will be buzzed in by the daycare educator.
Further to verification by the Daycare Educator, your child will greet you at the door. Depending on where the students are located in the school, a short time may elapse before the door is opened.
SAFETY & HEALTH PRECAUTIONS
Your child's safety is our prime concern. Students require written authorization to leave the Daycare without parent/guardian supervision both during the lunch and after school blocks. Do not forget to state the name of the person authorized to pick up your child and be sure to inform the Daycare of any change in schedule.
Illness: The Daycare policy reflects that of the school: whenever a child shows signs of illness, parents are required to keep their child at home or to pick him/her up as soon as possible. If your child leaves the school premises because of an illness during class time, please inform the Daycare of his/her early departure.
Medication: No medication can be given without the parent/guardian's consent. Please provide the original pharmaceutical container with the child's name, dosage, duration of treatment, and doctor's name.
